OK so it wasn't the best time to sign the lease for a new studio premises - a week before a national lockdown - but finally, after months of uncertainty and being unable to operate I finally opened the doors on my brand new studio.
Since starting my business 4 years ago when my youngest daughter was only a few months old, and working in my space rooms since, my goal was that once all 3 children were attending full time school I would look for a commercial space to run my little business from.
I wasn't even really looking at the time and can't really recall how I came across the listing but once I'd seen the property I just knew it was the right space for me.
After weeks of being unable to do anything with the property we finally began work to set it all out perfectly for all my clients needs. So many rolls of wallpaper, litres of paint, sheets of plasterboard, lengths of timber, countless decorating hours and a trip to IKEA later and all was about ready.
Flooring was supplied by GCW and my beautiful sign by Total Signs. It's important to me to support local where I can.
So now, finally I am proud to have a space to call my own. Fully equipped to welcome babies for newborn photoshoots, birthday babes for cake smash and splashes, older children for milestone and portrait sessions, families for memory capturing sessions, headshots, commercial product photography and everything in between!
I'm looking forward to welcoming lots of new and returning clients into my beautiful little space.
